“We were looking for a place to decompress, a place to relax that was close to Lexington for exploring. We found a place that exceeded all expectations and we actually extended our stay on the first day. Because we brought our two Labs with us, we rented the cottage from Linda & Chris that in reality is a 1400 square foot home away from the main house, with a master bedroom with gas fireplace, a 2nd bedroom we didn’t use, a living room, a full kitchen, and a decent-sized dining area. Most enjoyable of the cottage’s physical accommodations were the porches, a large one off the dining-kitchen area and a small one off the master bedroom.
Complementing the house itself were the acreage that made going for a walk extremely enjoyable through the hills, trees and open fields. It wasn’t flat, but it was beautiful with very rewarding views. Because we were in the cottage, we cooked our own meals, unless we ate in Lexington. Besides watching the llamas, we avoided trekking and the like … our choice. Otherwise, Linda & Chris were phenomenal hosts, very accommodating, and very interesting to chat with … but they never imposed themselves. Worth noting, all the appliances and furnishings were higher end. Finally, we weren’t familiar with Lexington but found the town very charming and interesting. We will be back. Thanks.”
